Meet Me in the Blue

meet me in the blue

same coast, new light

the whole day ahead of us

you said race me, then waited

your paddle hit mine

the afternoon opened wider

this is what i was missing

should’ve brought you here sooner

the view made sense beside you

before the tide turns

first one to call

i turned the board around

leave next saturday open

somewhere we haven’t been yet

we’ll know where to meet
