Coulthard, J.: Canadian Composers Portrait

I feel that music is my whole life.

I was determined I was going to be a composer.

I had my lesson today with Mr. Chubb.

I had saved up my own money.

Late in 1936 Jean and her husband traveled to New York.

The relationship between Jean and Bernard…

In a burst of new-found confidence…

She didn't just overcome…

I don't feel as many young composer do…

This may seem paradoxical…

Rather than dividing my music into periods…
