DAKU

DAKU is a Toronto-born rap artist known for sharp lyricism, raw storytelling, and a sound rooted in real life experiences. After taking time away from the spotlight to sharpen his craft and vision, he returned more focused, seasoned, and hungry than ever—turning passion into purpose and bars into statements. His early street mixtapes Dak-Who? and The Dakumentary helped build his foundation, featuring respected voices like Tej Gill, Humble The Poet, and more. Those releases quickly positioned DAKU as a lyricist to watch in the underground scene. He continued expanding his range through collaborations such as D.U.I with Pacifik and The Hitztape with MD, proving he could move effortlessly between hard street records and conceptual tracks. In 2022 and 2023, DAKU made his return felt with the releases of JFK and BLESSED, reminding listeners that his pen, presence, and hunger never left. In 2024, DAKU raised the stakes with his 8-track street album DAAKA Vol. 1, delivering unapologetic energy, honest bars, and a sound that stays true to the streets. Mid-2025 saw the release of Guns X Gulaabs, an epic love song blending grit, emotion, and cinematic storytelling. With a full project promised for 2026, DAKU’s journey is entering a powerful new chapter. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just real music, real stories, and real growth. This is DAKU.
