CHRYSALIS

CHRYSALIS is a music project built around nostalgia, memory, and the quieter side of drum and bass. Drawing from early-2000s intelligent DnB, atmospheric jungle, and liquid drum and bass, CHRYSALIS creates mixes and releases that feel like fragments of something half-remembered. late-night drives, empty stations, rainy windows, old digital cameras, and places that somehow feel familiar even if you have never been there. The sound combines rolling breakbeats, deep sub bass, hazy pads, melancholic harmony, and understated melodies, with a focus on atmosphere over spectacle. Each release is designed to feel immersive, personal, and slightly distant, balancing warmth with a sense of longing. CHRYSALIS uses AI-assisted tools as part of the production process. Suno is used to generate musical material, which is then selected, edited, arranged, processed, and mixed as part of the final releases. FL Studio is also used for additional production and sound design. The final direction, sequencing, visual identity, and overall world of CHRYSALIS are shaped around one idea: making music that feels like a memory you cannot quite place.
