Matthew Gwinup was born in Bend, Oregon and started his musical life on the Piano at the age of 5. After playing classical piano for 11 years Matt decided to go another direction and study the acoustic guitar. From there he picked up several other instruments such as the mandolin, bass, ukulele and more. Matthew got a BA in music performance from Southern Oregon university in 2007 and has been performing and teaching in Central Oregon and the greater Pacific Northwest ever since. Matt's goal with this YouTube page is to create a community of musicians and music lovers, collaborate, make fun videos and share his music. Matt hopes his channel will entertain, inspire and educate viewers about music and the guitar. To learn more about Matthew or book him for an event, check out his website: www.matthewgwinup.com.
