NLIGHTiN

The rapper NLIGHTiN is a captivating storyteller, using his lyrics to reflect on social issues and deeply personal matters like vigilance, perseverance, and justice. Acknowledgment early in his career from local area artists JWalk, DayOne Silva, and SunnyRedd gave NLIGHTiN the hype needed to release his early singles. Now with the release of his debut 2022 album, “War With Myself” his profile and artistry are growing along with his audience. NLIGHTiN (aka Vincent Zuniga Jr ) was born in Owosso, Michigan in 1994, later moving to Grand Rapids. Growing up, he was inspired to pursue art in some form and was mesmerized by Music. Following his intuition, he decided to pursue a career as a fully-fledged MC in 2016 after signing with an independent label. As an empathetically driven artist, NLIGHTiN explores mental health, cementing his reputation for the deep subject matter and ambitious lyrics that illustrate his commitment to deep and dark issues like crime, trauma, and corruption. Influenced by 2pac and Eminem, NLIGHTiN is heavily inspired by acts like King ISO and Joyner Lucas. His style of hip-hop gives off an R&B vibe, lyrically flowing over gritty beats with melodic and dramatic undertones. With new music ready to be released in 2023, NLIGHTiN is currently building a local fan base by touring venues to promote his latest works and is currently seeking a label that resonates with his powerful presence and personal appeal.
