NotSmirks

NotSmirks is the internet moniker and music project of Johnathan Petitte which is based in Arizona. NotSmirks began his creative journey under the alias over a decade ago with a YouTube channel of the same name. The channel showcased surreal, satirical animations often created with GoAnimate, which helped build him a strong following. Over time, NotSmirks expanded his creative work beyond video making, delving into electronic music under the same moniker, producing sample-heavy compositions that explore genres from glitchy, experimental beats to ambient soundscapes. With over 10 years having gone by, NotSmirks continues to explore themes that reflect a blend of surrealism and personal introspection in both his video and music projects.
