The Grammy Award-winning Gipsy Kings, led by founder Tonino Baliardo, reshaped global music with their 1987 debut, bringing flamenco-driven, non-English songs to international charts. Fusing flamenco with Latin, pop, reggae and jazz, they released landmark albums including Mosaïque and Este Mundo, sold over 25 million records, surpassed 2 billion streams, and appeared on iconic soundtracks such as Toy Story 3, The Big Lebowski and Entourage. Nearly four decades later, their flame still burns bright. Tonino announces the new album Historia, arriving May 15th and introduced by the electrifying single “Señorita.” Powered by Tonino’s unmistakable guitar and a stirring baritone vocal, the song reflects joyful childhood memories of music, dance and family—an energy that flows throughout the album. Historia moves between exuberant tracks like “El Campo” and “Big Bang,” the dramatic title song, and the haunting “La Guerra.” Tonino’s guitar anchors the record, from the pop-leaning “Soñador” to the euphoric instrumental “Cielo,” written in memory of his late brother Paco. Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo will end 2025 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Sharm El-Sheikh, followed in 2026 by a North American tour and the premiere of their documentary at the Cannes Film Festival before its global release on Amazon Prime Video.
