Jared Malmis

Jared Malmis is a dedicated worship leader of the Trailblazers, the Praise & Worship Ministry of Jesus & My City Church - Cagayan de Oro. In gratitude to God’s gift of second chances & the Lord’s unfathomable goodness in his life, Jared is now using his God-given talent in composing congregational & contemporary songs for the Risen King, all of which are inspired & rooted in the Word. Jared strikes a chord in the Alternative Music & OPM scene with his creations. The very first song he wrote is titled Tahanan, a Tagalog word meaning “Home”, written in honor of his wife Rhea Angela Arancon-Malmis, and was first sung on their wedding day by Jared himself. It is a heartfelt love song that tells of their endearing love story, masterfully written and orchestrated by God for His glory. From there, more masterpieces arose; such as Walay Sukod Nga Gugma & Dalaygon Ka, two Cebuano powerhouses resonating so deeply in the courts of heaven & in the hearts of men and women alike; Liwanag Ng Aking Pasko, a Tagalog Christmas-themed anthem of praise echoing amidst the harsh realities of pain & suffering in the world; and many more! Jared’s vision is to reach more people with his music, touching their hearts through every word & note lifted to the One True King. His utmost desire is to make JESUS known, that every wayward heart & drifting spirit shall be a wanderer no longer, but be forever called home into the arms of the Savior, by grace through faith in JESUS CHRIST alone.
