Julie is a Filipino illustrator and songwriter based in Los Angeles. She has a background in game design as a pixel artist and QA tester for several titles. She has a strong interest in vocal synthesis such as VOCALOID and UTAU. Most notably, she is the voice provider of the vocal synthesis AI singer LIEE, who has free-to-use databases in UTAU and Diffsinger. One day, she hopes to have LIEE's voice on a commercial vocal synthesis engine like VoiSona. Her favorite virtual vocalist is Chis-A (知声), and saying "favorite" is a severe understatement if you look at all the merchandise at her workspace. Some of her musical influences include Nelly Furtado, Parokya ni Edgar, Bebe Rexha, BTS, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Yuyoyuppe, Crusher, POLICE PICCADILLY, and Mike Shinoda.
