Hans Vandenburg is the songwriter and driving force behind Gruppo Sportivo, The Buddy Odor Stop and Dierenpark. In 2020 posthumous solo album 'Posthumourly' was released during his lifetime ('Why already? Because I like to be there myself.') In 2022, Gruppo Sportivo embark on their The Spotify Tour 2022, in which the band's most streamed songs are played in reverse order. In the late 1970s and early 1980s Gruppo Sportivo had great success with the albums 'Ten Mistakes' and 'Back To '78'. "Hey Girl", "Beep Beep Love", "Tokyo", "Rock 'n Roll" and "Disco Really Made It" became hits. In the following years the band toured all over Europe and had success with the albums 'Copy Copy', 'Pop! Goes The Brain' and 'Design Moderne'. Followed by 'Sing Sing' (live), 'Topless 16", acclaimed Hans Vandenburg solo albums 'Commercial Break' and 'Dig It Yourself' and two albums with his Dutch singing band Dierenpark. In 2018, after years of being a studio-only band, the band played at sold-out clubs and festivals on a tour in support of the critically acclaimed album 'Great' ("Gruppo's best since "Back To '78," according to EAR). The album was followed by, among others, the singles and videos 'What Else Can I Do' (2019), 'Smartphonesong' (2020), Christmas single 'Rudolf Het Reindier (2020) and mini-album Back To Nature (2024). In short, Hans Vandenburg is busier than ever.
