Zorgina came into being during the summer of 1992 in which: 3 women from 3 different countries met at a hurdy gurdy festival in France and, after a few days of generally frolicking and dancing, decided to sing a bit -- what the heck, we're all singers -- in a medieval chapel next to the festival grounds. At which point people started to gather and listen, and a man offered us a contract to score his film. We declined the offer -- it was probably just an elaborate pick up line -- but we knew we had something, however unlikely, that we were supposed to do together. That thing started as medieval polyphony and branched into forays in folk and pop music. We also a very brief phase as singing nuns in a sort of cabaret, but that's another story. We toured and recorded together until it was time to stop in 2007. Here is a sampling of our work. Zorgina is: Rebecca Bain, Canada Ruth Eiselsberg, Austria Ellen Santaniello, USA
