Pt. Sharad Gokhale

Pt. Sharad Gokhale ( Year : 1940- 2011 ) - Indian Classical Vocalist ..... Initial Training :- Pt. Sharad Gokhale from Pune was a Prominent & one of the favourite disciple of Pt. Vinayak Buwa Patwardhan , representing Gwalior Gharana Gayaki he developed his own pattern of systamtic elaboration of a Raag & simple Taan Kriya ( pattern ) in his gayaki ( Singing style ) He also received a methodical training in Tabla under Shree Ramchandra Patwardhan , thus it gave him a great command over laya & taal in his gayaki. He has received an " A " Class from All India Radio , & has done many notable & remarkable performance of Khayal Gayaki & Natya pads on AIR. He is one of the very few artists who received an " A" Class by All India Radio without applying to them. Together Pt. Sharad Gokhale & his wife Nanda tai Gokhale ( also a student of Vinayak Buwa) has accompanied him for many concerts on Tanpura & vocal Support . Nattya Sangeet :- Afterwards Pt. Sharad Gokhale was systematically grooved by noted Music Director Pt. Neelkanth Buwa Abhyankar & also received an able Guidance from well known Shiledar family, thus he gained fame being one of the reputed Singer-Actors of Marathi Musical stage of Maharastra ( Sangeet Rangabhumi ) . He has played as a "Nayak" ( Lead Artist ) in famous Sangeet Nataka's like : Sangeet Swayamwar , Saubhadra ,Shaakuntal, Saunshay kallol, Swar Samradni, Vidya Haran , Sharada , Ekach Pyala & Sangeet Kanhopatra. Awards & Recognition :- 1) Puraskar by Akhil Bhartiya Nattya Parishad Pune & Mumbai. 2) YEAR 2001 - " NATTYACHARYA GOVIND BALLAL DEVAL" Puraskar by Deval Smarak Samiti Sangli, for devoting more than 25 years to Sangeet Ranga Bhumi. 3) Year 2008 - " BAL GANDHARVA " Puraskar By Mahanagar Palika. 4) YEAR 2011- " JEEVAN GAURAV PURASKAR " By Rajya Natya Parishad. He was very humble , polite & the simplest personality that we seldom get to see in Music Field today. I consider myself very much lucky to have received training in music from him & Nanda Tai Gokhale for 8-9 Years .
