The 14th World Music Festival (WMF) was held in Innsbruck, Austria, from May 29th to June 1st, organised by the Deutscher Harmonika-Verband (German Harmonica & Accordion Association, DHV) and was combined with Tag der Harmonika (Day of the Accordion), organised by the Harmonikaverband Österreichs (Austrian Harmonica Association, HVÖ) for the first time, incorporating both events providing an expanded platform for accordion competition and performance in solo, duo, and ensemble formats. As one of the world’s largest and most prestigious competitions for accordion, harmonica, Styrian harmonica, and related instruments, the WMF once again featured top-class competitions, a high-quality supporting program, and a showcase of international exhibitors that inspired enthusiasm among both participants and guests. Over 3,000 musicians—soloists, ensembles, and 160 orchestras—from 13 countries (including Denmark, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom) gathered in Innsbruck to celebrate musical excellence and intercultural exchange.
