World Premieres by Colin Matthews, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Julian Anderson, Kaija Saariaho, Oliver Knussen and much more. A diary of a confinement with friends far away. The concert of the two world premieres of my dear friends Oliver Knussen and Kaija Saariaho writing for each other had to be cancelled but I felt it was important to share them online. Julian Anderson wrote Maisema in memory of Oliver Knussen in November 2019 and Mark-Anthony Turnage finished his on the 8th of May 2020. I recorded Mark-Anthony's Song For Big Owl on the last day of the confinement in Paris. Bergamasca by Vitali is my homage to the brave people of Bergamo. Solos, juntos and La Fuga are testimonies that even in confinement we can keep inspiring each other and creating together. Bianco is another far-away collaboration, recorded between Toronto and Paris. Improvisation on Solage is a new collaboration with my wife Muriel von Braun.
