Deathstep, originating in Sweden sometime in early 2010 by the Swedish producer Bratkilla. Currently one of the many extreme sub-genres of UK Dubstep characterized by the use of incredible amounts of amp distortion, chugs, metallic pan snares and dark, twisted themes. Minatory is an even darker and heavier spin-off style started by Moth in 2014, characterized mostly by the constant use of high pitched, heavily amp distorted white noise for its basslines.
