Alexandros Papadakis is a cretan musician born in 1979 in Rethymno Crete, in a beautiful village called "Ardahtos" of St. Vasili. He plays cretan lyra, askobantoura (a traditional cretan instrument) and hambioli (another traditional instrument), as well as he sings. As he use to say, thanks to this village - with tradition in music - he was inspired for the music, fun, dance and life itself. At the early age of 9 years old, he first holded the lyra in his hands, and started to play by watching all the great "masters" of cretan music tradition. As he grew up he became an amazing musician with great success in his country - Greece, as well as in many other countries abroad.
