New Album "The Rooster Crows -- The Bank Sessions" from Jeff Jones Blends American and Italian Musical Styles to Create International Fusion of Blues and Americana Soul LAKE TAHOE, Calif., Aug. 26, 2013 — Today, singer/songwriter Jeff Jones announced the upcoming availability of his third full-length album, "The Rooster Crows -- The Bank Sessions." The album features Jeff Jones on vocals, acoustic and slide guitar, Eric Matlock on Keys (Jelly Bread) and the three members of the Italian Afro-Disco band The Bank (Brini, Loparco, Zullo). The international take on Blues and Americana Soul comes directly from The Bank. Each member with his own distinct style, the trio is composed of Italian bass innovator Domenico Loparco (composer and teacher with more than 25 years of experience working with international artists such as Lucio Dalla, Renato Zero, Ivan Graziani, Billy Cobham, Manu Katche, Frank Gambale, Tito Puente and many more), drummer and producer Francesco Brini (Swayzak, Frank Agrario, Pinktronix, Mozzarella Records), and guitarist Emanuele Zullo. "The album was recorded as 'full band' live sessions over three spring days at my home on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Because each member of the band was present and actively crafting each song in the moment, the personalities and musical styles pushed and pulled in real-time and came through more effectively than if we isolated everyone in a recording booth," said Jones. "Each song is a single take. I think that is what makes it feel so alive and puts the listener in the front row." Positive Input "I'm always on the lookout for new artists to feature on my show," said legendary DJ James 'Blueshound' Nagel - KPFT FM, Houston, TX. "Artists that push the blues envelope and take the genre into the future. Jeff Jones fits those requirements quite nicely." Availability The new re-mastered release is driven by fan feedback and is part of Jeff Jones' commitment to deliver the best possible sound quality and clarity to listeners. The re-mastered version of "The Rooster Crows -- The Bank Sessions" will be available October 1st, 2013 at www.jeffjonesband.com, iTunes, CDBaby and Amazon. Jeff Jones' re-mastered release includes two new bonus tracks, lyrics and notes on production. Previous releases from Jeff Jones include: "Biscuits and Gravy," 2006 - Jeff Johnson, Chicago Sun-Times said: "Everyone who hears this disc will say 'sounds like The Black Crowes, the Allman Brothers, etc.' (Jones) is a good slide guitarist and singer with the gritty voice that is de rigueur for this kind of material." "Be With You," 2011 -- CDBaby: "Warm and soulful, the 2011 release from Jeff Jones departs from his blues roots and explores the Pop-influenced singer/songwriter style. Enjoy!"
