Originally setup as a studio project, Caro Emerald became an overnight sensation when they self-released their debut album “Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor” in 2010 on Grandmono Records. Featuring 12 original songs, the album blends vintage latin and jazz, 40’-50’s soundtracks and bigbands with hiphop beats and samples, without ever sounding retro. The catchy songs and inventive production paired with Caro’s sultry voice, Vince’s intricate lyrics and the evocative artwork gained massive momentum, and the album became the longest charting album in Dutch history - including 30 weeks at #1. All songs arranged, recorded and produced by David Schreurs and Jan van Wieringen for Grandmono Productions. Strings recorded by Ellie Wyatt. Vocal arrangements by Caro Emerald. Kypski appears courtesy of Jammm. Mixed by Jan van Wieringen @ The Sonic Nest. Mastered by Darius van Helfteren @ Amsterdam Mastering. Artwork designed by Daniël Maarleveld and Oskar Maarleveld. Song notes written by Vincent Degiorgio.
