I very highly recommend this band! The W's are a Christian swing/ska band, gaining popularity in the late 90's during the swing revival and third-wave ska craze, that formed in Corvallis, Oregon in 1996. Their debut album is named for the fact that "W" is the 4th to last letter of the alphabet, and is the 1st of their 2 studio albums. Their sound is perfected on this, their very first album. Unfortunately, they didn't last long after this, as the band members couldn't agree on the musical and "artistic" direction that the band was taking. But on a positive note, some of the band members ending up dispersing to other popular, similar bands of the time, such as the Supertones and Five Iron Frenzy, a band that the W's actually give a tribute to on a hidden track on this album.
