Remixes & productions done by the South London team of brothers Karl & Hugh Atkins and Peter Trotman. Together they are better known as Blacksmith. As The Beat Lads they released the single 'It's You' in 1988 on 4th & Broadway Records. A year later they signed to London Records. Their first task was creating the Cruel Summer '89 (Swing Beat Dub) remix for Bananarama. They released two singles as Blacksmith on London's Records dance music subsidiary ffrr. These were 'Get Back to Love' and 'Hold You Back'. They then started their long and prolific remixing career often using the name 'Brixton' in their remix title names (eg. Brixton Bass Remix, Brixton Club Mix) as a reference to where they were brought up. 'Steve Antony' was managed by Blacksmith/Delirious Management from 1996-2004. From 1996-1999 he did remixes using the Steve Antony name then became a part of the Blacksmith Production Team in 2000 until his departure in 2004. NB. This playlist is a work in progress.
