Thank you for your wonderful video uplifting us with words and music of encouragement! 日本への思いを込めた励ましのビデオに心から感動でした☆ 10minutes "A tribute to the people of Japan" Music and poem by Mark Evans ~*~*~*~ 10 minutes 10分間の出来事だった A tribute to all of those who lost their lives and the survivors of the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami 11th March 2011/03/11 地震、津波で命を亡くした日本の人々、 生き残った人々に捧ぐ 2011年 3月11日、それは起こった This beautiful and graceful land who welcomes the rising sun With bird song in the air and children having fun The sweet serenity of the sea as it laps against her shores And Mother Nature's wonders, who could ask for more A dream it was broken, 10 minutes was all it took To erase the beauty of her land, tearing pages from her book Her ground it did shake with such intensity Those cruel dark waters did come, a raging turmoil from the sea. Where serenity once flowed, now surged the waters of despair The crushing waves of darkness and sadness everywhere Life was hard to hold onto, washed away so easily Like a smothered candle, like a falling tree A dream it was over, 10 minutes was all it took For the waters to dominate the land that shook Where once was life now death would try to rule Could this be a nightmare, why was nature cruel? A kimono lies drenched in mud, a satchel hanging from tree. Houses smashed like drift wood, life's no guarantee But in the midst of destruction, life held on so strong With survivors and their dignity, they shall right this wrong The land that now lies broken shall be beautiful once again With children playing all around, but memories shall remain For those that went before us, may they find serenity? They will not be forgotten by either you or me This beautiful and graceful land who welcomes the rising sun With bird song in the air and children having fun The sweet serenity of the sea as it laps against her shores And Mother Nature's wonders, who could ask for more, Translation : freepasport
