I've only been a more serious fan of jazz for about 7 years, and I continue to learn more and more. As I've recently started to learn to play piano, I'm only now realizing how different various players reinterpret the original or the fact that there is an original that can be very different from what I'm used to hearing. I want to learn about -- not just play -- jazz and pop standards, so I'm making this playlist of standards (jazz or whatnot) that I like, want to learn how to play, or hopefully one day, I'll be able to do my own version/reharmonization of. Also, here's a great, helpful website I recently found on this topic: http://www.jazzstandards.com
