It's hard to believe this is Earth, Wind & Fire’s first Christmas album in the four plus decades of the band's existence. One reason for that disbelief is that spirituality and uplift have long been a part of EW&F’s music. That spirituality and uplift, however, always seemed a little too "new agey" for my tastes, and I longed for an album that would celebrate Jesus Christ specifically. Well, lo and behold, here it is—the album I could only dream about 35 years ago! So light a fire and turn up the speakers, my fellow yachtsmen. And have yourselves a merry and bright, Mighty Elements Christmas!
