Duet for One - A Strings Competition in Lockdown

During the global lockdown, musicians have been challenged to learn new skills and new ways of creating and performing. Duet for One took the format of a competition into a new digital space, where entrants performed duets with themselves building their musical and technical skills to make this possible. Trinity Laban String department students perform a range of music in the competition, the only criteria being that one or both of the instruments should be their principal study instrument and they must play both of the two parts. Judged by Professor Nic Pendlebury, Head of Strings and David Kenedy, the competition winner is Hannah Littlechild: Moz-art for 2 violins by Alfred Schnittke
