River (Solo Piano, Volume I)

On his first instrumental release, Phil Laeger comes into his own with River, a modern classical soundtrack that follows the journey of a river from beginning to end. British author Aidan Chambers writes, “A river is a river, always there, and yet the water flowing through it is never the same water and is never still.” That is the emotion which these tracks evoke. Always flowing but never frantic, full of rapidly flowing passages, delicate dissonances and sustained overtones.
