For those who know La Fonda Boricua in El Barrio (Spanish Harlem, NYC), if you hadn't met him, you had probably seen or heard Tavi Lopez. Even if you didn't know his name, you knew his face. He was a percussionist and one of the original members of the group that played regularly on Latin Jazz Thursdays at the old Fonda Boricua restaurant and was there when the new FB Lounge started as well. He was a such a warm soul. He will be sorely missed. Que descanse en paz.
