Brenda's third album was released 10 October 1960 (Decca DL4082/74082). It was remastered in 2004 and is still available from Ace Records (CDCHD-1028). The huge success of the previous album caused Decca to push for a quick follow-up. It was clearly aimed at the adult market and gave Brenda little chance to rock. "Just A Little" is from a March 28 session and "The Big Chance" is from an August 18 session. All other cuts are from recording sessions held at the Bradley Film & Recording Studio in Nashville on August 30, 31 and September 1, 1960. Personnel was the usual "A-Team" players: Hank Garland [gt], Grady Martin [gt], Harold Bradley [bass gt], Bob Moore [standup bass], Buddy Harman [drums], Floyd Cramer [piano], Boots Randolph [sax]. Producer: Owen Bradley. "I Want to Be Wanted" was #1 on the chart and "Just a Little" reached #40. My personal favorite is "If I Didn't Care". The Inkspots original inspired Brenda to do the spoken part in "I'm Sorry". Here she doesn't do a recitation, but the vocal is inspired and Bradley's arrangement is wonderful. A great and little known version of the song. 01. When My Dreamboat Comes Home 02. I Want To Be Wanted 03. Just A Little 04. Pretend 05. Love & Learn 06. Teach Me Tonight 07.
