A rare artifact from the early days of the Haight Ashbury counterculture, this LP was recorded live in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park in 1967, and released on a small Hollywood-based label. As you would expect from a half-century old recording, many of the attitudes are dated (notably, some of the lyrics are pretty sexist—and occasionally creepy—by #MeToo standards), but the performances have a sweetness to them that I think makes them worth hearing. The audio is from an old cassette dub of the LP, purchased many years ago from a record dealer, that I've digitized. I've taken the images from Discogs and other internet sources.
