from the dark recesses of 2008 south florida grew the new wave/alt/power pop band: Amplifier. featuring Derek Cruz (now performing with Jesse Malin) on guitars, keyboards & vocals, Blair King on drums & vocals, Bryan Hinton on bass, guitars, keyboards & vocals and Emily Sky on keyboards, guitars, sax, & vocals. ahead of it's time; Amp played only the real deal ... no "commercialized" 80's new wave bandwagon song choices, which made them particularly authentic. in addition to new wave, they included covers of contemporary artists like Ting Tings, Raconteurs, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, etc. and a few very select "classic rock" covers penned by artists such as T Rex & David Bowie thrown into the mix for good measure. sometimes rough, sometimes not; Amplifier were nothing, if not monumentally enthusiastic in performance. enjoy!
