In music history, there were actually two men with the name of Ray Charles. There was the Ray Charles that everyone knows (a man who had so much talent and his music lives on) and there was "The Other" Ray Charles who was a choir director with his group, The Ray Charles Singers. Just like The Norman Luboff Choir, The Ray Charles Singers went into the studio and created a number of beautiful recordings. Today, The Ray Charles Singers may only be remembered by a few people. However, I can see how I discovered the group because the name, Ray Charles, continues to be well-known and YouTube has grown so much to the point where most recordings from anyone are out there in the 2020s. What I would say is that the playlist here will have a few more songs added over time. As we get closer to upcoming seasons and when more videos can be recorded, I hope every video I find and record can stay on YouTube without copyright issues. Enjoy in the playlist: The Ray Charles Singers and The Sandusky High School Choir (my favorite recordings from their Christmas record), and more.
