Why Apples & Oranges, Detective? "I named it that because I'm sick of people saying electronic music isn't 'real music.' I don't think you can compare electronic music to other types of music, it's like apples to oranges." Detective Orange set out to make a unifying statement mixing his musicality, including guitar from age 8, with his ever increasing EDM production powers! Apples & Oranges blends the new EDM with timeless and playful free-range harmonies. Most of the songs feature gritty, funky basses over arrangements that are downright refreshing. Compositions with classical and modern elements get woven into lush tapestries of beats & bass. Full on Harpsichord arrangements, playful electric guitar riffs and perfect 8bit highlights; Much more than just a mess of instrumentation. Everything here is tighter than the lid on your juicer.
