Program: November 24th, 2024 2:00 | Opperman Music Hall About Epsilon Iota The Epsilon Iota Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was founded on November 8th, 1949. Since then, the chapter has become one of the largest in the country, maintaining a strong presence within the College of Music at Florida State University. Famous alumni of the chapter include Krzysztof Penderecki, one of the most important Modernist composers of the 20th Century, Winston Scott, a former astronaut, and Ryan Speedo Green, the distinguished bass opera singer. Beyond these three, we have several alumni on faculty within the College of Music, not to mention our many honorary inductees. We continue to strive to advance music in America, not by pure skill nor elitism, but rather by the pure heart and soul from which music connects us all. Acknowledgments Special thanks to the section leaders for assisting in rehearsals, to the Opperman crew for facilitating this performance, to Nate Kennard for running publicity for this performance, and to the alumni brothers and probationary members who joined us in singing for this performance.
