Having four originals (including, previously released "One More Chance") and an addition of seven remixes, the EP feels more like a mini-album. Lifelike, Dj Falcon, Gigamesh - these all are names of people, responsible for the MIT's wide spectrum of sound, varying from slow disco jams and classic "four on the floor" club mixes, to quite an experimental half dark, french electro. With The Spimes on the vocals, Alan takes his production to the next level. In comparison to his previous work ("Upper Cuts" 2005), with its distinctive structure, rhythm and overall house music shape, "Moments In Time" is the music that's less club-oriented. Even though tracks are quite down-tempo, they still have this "Braxe" signature everywhere, from powerful kicks & snares to melancholic melodies and prayer-like lyrics. Oiginal Tracks: 1. "Time Machine" has been released with an official music video: bits of memories, moments in time, a girl you love and an infinite journey through space and time... this song is simply brilliant. You cannot stop listening to it and after few replays you're probably going to croon it the rest of the day. 2. "Voices" is an inspiring track. Warm analog chord progression, punchy claps, touching lead synth: all these elements combined generates an enormous amount of happy thoughts. You just feel good, you want to move. It's also the most dance-oriented original on the release. 3. "Daydreaming". Loop-based, quite repetitive, with electronic feel to it. This track starts slowly, having just few elements. Then it starts to develop, minute after minute, expanding more and more, and then, getting closer to the end, suddenly breaks - as a surprise bringing warm chorused pads, that practically sends you to another dimension. The remixes on the EP are simply great. Gigamesh turned "Time Machine" from slow romantic adventure into a 80s synth-disco dance track, while Alain's cousin Dj Falcon, working on the same record, created a whole new world of electronic darkness, phased by the pieces of eternal love. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download: Alan Braxe - "Moments In Time" EP is a free release, you can download it via SCION AV http://goo.gl/w6Fbh ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
