First Album "Alexia": I had just come back from New York and participated at the prestigious European Song Contest: Eurovision. The song I sang in the Eurovision, Aspro - Mavro became Platinum in all Scandinavian countries and one of my closest friends from Berklee College of Music, Makis Achladiotis invited me to meet my producer -to-be Mr. Nikos Karayiannis, one of the top producers at Polygram (now Universal). We immediately liked each other and wanted to collaborate! So, I got signed to Polygram and I began to record instantaneously! And all my albums with Polygram became double, triple Gold and Platinum! As for the music, my friend Makis Achladiotis, his brother Elias owned one of the Best and very few recording studios in Athens along with their/our friend Christos Zorbas. Studio SIERRA. In one of the studios, there was a composer, Kostas Haritodiplomenos, who had composed what Makis considered to be a Hit album and Makis got us all together and the Music Union had commenced! My 1st album had been born! The lyricist was George Mitsiggas! The album sold endlessly, multi-platinum and loved.. I am grateful though Polygram never paid me anything.. Not for ANY OF MY MULTI-SELLING ALBUMS with them. Somebody heeeelp..! Alexia Vassiliou on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AlexiaVassili... TAGS: Αλέξια Βασιλείου - Alexia Vassiliou
