Iconic recordings such as "A Place Called Africa" and "Beat Down Babylon", teaming up with Lee Perry, established Junior Byles as one of the pioneers of Roots Reggae. From the mid-70s, his fragile mental health slowed a brilliant musical career. Despite this, he recorded gems such as "Fade Away" at Channel One, "Heart and Soul" for The Mighty Two, "W-E-E-P-I-N-G" with Niney The Observer, as well as a handful of cult singles for Ja-Man Records. Junior Byles passed away on May 15th 2025. Jah bless him eternally!
