For decades, Edward O'Sullivan Lee a.k.a. Bunny "Striker" Lee was one of the most prominent producers on the Jamaican music scene. He played a significant role during the golden years of Roots Reggae releasing numerous hits alongside artists such as Johnny Clarke, Cornell Campbell, Horace Andy, Dillinger, Tommy McCook or Linval Thompson. In the mid-70s his productions popularized the flying cymbal style, characterized by the fervent presence of the hi-hat and inspired by the Philly sound. Since the genre's inception, he also held an important place in Dub history thanks to his frequent and numerous collaborations with King Tubby's studio.
