Jams

Welcome to Fulgencio Medina Jr.'s collection of improvised drum performances. Each video in this playlist features a spontaneous musical interpretation performed over professionally produced backing tracks. Rather than recreating existing drum parts, these performances are completely improvised, capturing real-time creativity, groove, and musical conversation. A former U.S. Army drummer who performed with the Jazz Knights at West Point and the Soldiers of Swing Army Europe Band, Fulgencio brings decades of experience to every performance. Having studied with renowned educators John Riley and Dennis Mackrel, he now creates music from the mountains of Puerto Rico as "Drummer en el Campo." Whether you're a drummer, musician, or simply enjoy expressive improvisation, this playlist is a place to experience jazz, fusion, funk, and beyond—one performance at a time.
