Somnium is the debut album by Lunaris — an instrumental progressive metal journey where the cello takes the place of the human voice. Blending intricate composition, modern djent rhythms, expressive cello, dark jazz harmony and cinematic atmosphere, Somnium explores the fragile boundary between dreams and reality. Each composition unfolds like a chapter of a continuous dream, combining technical precision with emotional depth and immersive storytelling. Inspired by progressive metal, contemporary djent and experimental harmony, Lunaris creates music for listeners seeking something beyond conventional metal—complex, atmospheric and deeply expressive. If you enjoy instrumental progressive metal, technical musicianship, polyrhythms, rich counterpoint and cinematic soundscapes, this playlist is for you. FFO: Dream Theater, Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, Vildhjarta, TesseracT, Rivers of Nihil, The Omnific.
