"Mingus Dynasty" is a 1959 Columbia album recorded shortly after "Mingus Ah Hum." It's just as interesting to my ears, but has been overshadowed by the more famous album. Similar situation with the Impulse! albums, where the excellent record "Mingus, Mingus, Mingus" was lost in the fanfair over "The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady."
