Six Bodhisattvas. Six qualities of the awakened heart, given voice. The Great Compassion is a devotional album built on the idea that each Bodhisattva embodies a distinct quality — wisdom, compassion, protection, boundless practice, unwavering vow, and swift, luminous grace — and that quality can be carried through sound as fully as through scripture. Every piece pairs a sacred mantra with newly composed devotional verse, sung first in Mandarin as the guiding anchor, then answered in Sanskrit, its original root. The collection unfolds across two volumes. Volume One lays the foundation — one piece for each of five Bodhisattvas: Mañjuśrī's Voice of Dharma, Avalokiteśvara's A Thousand Eyes, Vajrapāṇi's Eternal Vajra Light, Samantabhadra's The Flower Garland, and Kṣitigarbha's Light in the Deepest Dark. Volume Two deepens the portrait — a second piece for four of these Bodhisattvas, tracing new facets of their vows: Avalokiteśvara's A Thousand Arms, Samantabhadra's The Cloud Offerings, Kṣitigarbha's Until Hell Is Empty, and Mañjuśrī's The Jewel of Wisdom. And a sixth voice joins the circle for the first time — Green Tārā, swift and luminous, in She Who Swiftly Saves. Two languages, one devotion: that in hearing these names and these sounds, something in the listener might settle.
