Steve March Tormé is a singer grounded in the tradition of his very famous father, Mel Tormé. This album captures the music, the style and even includes the same arrangements as Mel Tormé but recast with a fresh approach by Steve March Tormé. AIX Records assembled the “tentet” on the stage of the Colburn School and put them through their paces. In amazing form, Steve and the band sailed through the tunes and lit up these terrific charts. Steve March Tormé is a tremendous talent in his own right but connects with the tunes that his famous father performed during his career. If you love the sound of tight big band backing up a terrific vocalist…then Tormé Sings Tormé is perfect for you.
