It can also include genres like Horrorcore or "Emocore" (very vague term). Explanation: Post Hardcore is a special genre because it is really a mix of genres and subgenres with lots of variations in the sound: Songs from 2000-2010 have a Prog Punk sound with Emo influences, more modern ones are softer/poppier with a scene fashion influence. Then we also got metalcore influeces. In this playlist there is also Progressive Rock and what I call Progressive Punk. This playlist may include screamo with some soft metalcore too. Some songs can have alt rock & alt metal as subgenres (even Math Punk/Rock or Experimental Rock/Punk).-ABOUT PH- I don't like the term Post-Hardcore since the sound of the songs can be very different and I prefer to use it as an era of the music. But well, Post Hardcore (or Postcore) is a cool genre that is soft & relaxing but at the same time can be hard. It depends if it goes to the metal, punk rock, pop or prog rock route. The evolution of this genre is very special and to me it should really be named Progressive Punk or Scene Hardcore for the era of 2000-2010. "Post Hardcore" is a generic name that imo should be avoided because it's too wide. The older post hardcore of 2000s is just a softer hardcore punk sound. The more modern Post Hardcore I think it has a lot of pop & rock influences that can also be named different. Also the most similar genre is Progressive Rock, the sound can be very similar for most of the songs.I think this genre should have better names overall, as even metalcore can be post-hardcore. There is also music mixed with that subgenre so it can hard to differentiate.Speedup Playlist ~
