The Frans Brüggen Project" So excited to share the first announcement of my new album for Decca Classics with you all! This project started with a lightning bolt inspiration moment in November 2021, when I first met the historical recorder collection of Frans Brüggen. Bruggen being one of the most influential Early Music pioneers, throughout his life he collected historical recorders built in the 17th and 18th century, with the unique quality of these not just being valuable historical objects but also playable instruments that could give players the real historic recorder experience. I feel very graterul for the opportunity or naving recorded an entire album on these instruments, celebrating the collection as well as Frans Brüggen's legacy, choosing repertoire that fits to each of the recorders with their unique sonorities and personalities. The full album is set for release on the 8th of November 2024. Here is a first teaser of the Adagio from Marcello's oboe concerto, you can stream this track which I recorded on a historical alto recorder from Frans Brüggen's collection built by the Dutch builder Jan Steenbergen, with the fantastic Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century.
