(Held on 13 March 2022 at University Cultural Centre Theatre) Springtide, a production by NUS Guitar Ensemble (GENUS), is a live Niibori guitar ensemble showcase celebrating the coming of spring – a time of renewal and rejuvenation! Springtide is a reflection of the last 41 years as the region’s first Niibori guitar ensemble; as well as a celebration of GENUS’ musical growth through the pandemic. From arrangements of iconic Baroque works to light-hearted Japanese pieces composed specifically for a Niibori ensemble, this year’s repertoire aims to capture the spectrum of moods and atmosphere that accompanies spring!
