The White Star Line Quintet: The Rosenheim Recordings (With the Surviving Piano From Titanic's sister, RMS Olympic!)

These videos show the new musical ensemble The White Star Line Quintet -- helmed by professional musicians from Austria -- performing Titanic-era music in Rosenheim, Germany. The piano in these recordings is the 1912 Steinway piano from Olympic's Restaurant Reception Room, a replacement for the instrument initially installed aboard Olympic in 1911, which seems to have sunk with Titanic. These recordings capture the sound of Titanic in a way never before imagined, with a piano from that era and so closely related to Titanic's history. This is the very piano that the RMS Olympic Steinway Association is attempting to purchase and preserve on public display for years to come.
