Music for imaginary films, ‘off the beaten tracks’ for films that don’t yet exist or soundtracks for books that are already written, they are characterized by their power to tell stories and evoke emotions. The second volume of the Imaginary Soundtrack series produced by Bleepmachine and Cezame. An album of ‘off the beaten tracks’ for imaginary movies composed and performed by Barthélémy Corbelet. The composer is the best at describing it: « It’s also a soundtrack to books we know and love: Cannery Row by John Steinbeck, Dreams from Bunker Hill by John Fante or Truth North by Jim Harrison. Music imbued by North America’s light and smells, and the smog of big cities but also the redwood forests lining Vancouver’s highways. » Photo: Barthélémy Corbelet Barthélémy Corbelet is a singer-songwriter.
