At Half-Time at the Super Bowl XXVII, Michael Jackson performed a greatest-hits medley. After a 'Why You Wanna Trip On Me' introduction, Jackson proceeded to perform 'Jam'. After a transition, he performed 'Billie Jean', which was followed by 'Black or White'. Unlike many previous years, he was the only performer in the entire Half-Time show. It was the first Super Bowl where the audience figures actually increased during the half-time show. The selection of Jackson for the Half-Time show was in response to sagging interest in recent performances, notably in the two years immediately prior. This medley was only performed once at Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, America on January 31, 1993. 'Black or White' was released as the lead single from Jackson's eighth studio album 'Dangerous' - both 'Jam' and 'Why You Wanna Trip On Me' can be found on this album. 'Billie Jean' can be found on his sixth studio album 'Thriller'.
