This album presents three of Robert Schumann’s most iconic piano works, performed by Robert Poortinga. From the mercurial and fragmented world of Kreisleriana, through the grand emotional sweep of the Fantasie in C major, to the lyrical intimacy of the Arabeske, these early works reflect the powerful artistic and emotional influence of Clara Wieck — muse, pianist, and future wife — whose presence shaped Schumann’s creative voice in this period. 🎼 Works: Kreisleriana, Op. 16 • Fantasie in C major, Op. 17 • Arabeske, Op. 18 ––– 🌐 More at: www.robertpoortinga.com 📩 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyAu... #Schumann #RobertPoortinga #SoloPiano #RomanticPiano #ClassicalMusic
