Wednesday, July 24, 2024, marks the third anniversary of the inscription of the site “The 14th-century fresco cycles of Padua” on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city of Padua celebrates over 1,000 days of activities, study, and dialogues woven during this time with a concert open to all citizens and those who wish to join the festivities. In the name of the cultural richness that UNESCO invites us to experience, the concert-event will feature young international artists, whose rapidly rising careers are characterized by a clear spirit of collaboration and exploration of musical heritage, both past and contemporary. One of the sites hosting the frescoes that have become UNESCO heritage has been chosen to host the event: the Church of the Eremitani, built under the name of the Church of Saints Philip and James between 1260 and 1306 for the Hermit Friars of Saint Augustine. The magnificent frescoes it houses, including those by Guariento and Mantegna, provide the perfect setting in the large nave for all those who wish to participate in the initiative. Echoes of Heritage is an event by Lilium SoundArt, made possible thanks to the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Padua, and the Department of Culture.
